FEEDBACK QUESTIONS
Who are you going to aim this towards too?
This was a really good question that my peers asked me about, because I didn't know who I was going to aim this towards. My concept is aimed for those who are in primary, especially those from grade 1 and 2 because the activities that I will be providing is suitable for those who are above 6 years. What will you incorporate? I will incorporate different activities and themes in the room, so that it lines with the concept of ‘Around the World’. The most important is to have the children working together, so I will be including activities that involves collaboration with others. Maybe you should get the children to make their own passport? I agree with this statement. It really helped me expand my idea of ‘Around the World’. I will be getting children to make their own passports, because we want to teach them about identity. With their passport, they are able to ‘travel’ around the classroom, visiting each country which will be set on different tables. Each ‘country’ they go to, they can get their passports stamped by other children. |
How will you include parents in the school?
With my concept, how parents can be involved is: by the end of the term, we will have an exhibition where the children can show case their piece of art work that relates to their culture. It will be displayed in the room, for teachers, parents and children to see. They are able to see what their child and other children have done and can ask questions. We will also be having presentations for all the children, so It will become a show and tell and parents are welcome to join the fun. Also, if parents aren't able to attend the exhibition night, will post photos on the newsletter which parents can excess on the internet at childrenscreativeworldbulliten.weebly.com How are you going to incorporate 5 art elements? Are you going to incorporate the 5 elements of art? Visual art- The kids are able to paint and draw things that relate to their culture- we will be providing them with open-ended materials. Drama- The kids are able to showcase their work how ever they like at the end of the term. Music- As a class we will be making a ‘world song’, because we want to encourage children to collaborate with others because they are able to create strong bonds which is very important to us. Dance- With the music, we will incorporate dance movements because we want children to move around. We will ask their opinions and have them discussing what the like and don't like. |
