EXPRESS THE CREATIVE WORLD
In our arts concept, we follow the line of entering the creative arts, exploring the creative arts and lastly expressing the creative arts. Expressing the creative arts, means show casing what the children have learn and done over the weeks. This involves the parents to collaborate with the children, by attending to these display end term events.
By the end of the term, we will set up a multicultural day where the parents can come to the class and see the children from diverse backgrounds. They can help their child with dressing up with their traditional clothes, and later on they can present their clothes to the class. They can also bring items from home that they would like to share to the class, and the class can ask questions. They can also put up a performance whether that be, dancing, singing, showing their artworks, clothes etc, parents and teachers are able to observe how much information the child has gain within the term.
We will also be putting up art exhibitions, where the children will showcase what art works or performances they have done during class and present it in front of teachers and parents. Examples of this, are seen from the above pictures. This also lines up with the outcome 5: children are effective communicators. By allowing children to present their work to peers, they are developing their social communication and language. This also boosts their confidence to speak in front of others, which is very important in developing children's language.
We also ensure that parents are able to see what their child has done, because we feel that it is also important that parents see what their child can achieve. If there are some parents who can't make it to the exhibition, or the cultural day we will always provide it on the daily newsletter which will be situated on the childrenscreativeworldnewsletter.com bulletin. We will be providing pictures, information, any up coming events that parents and children will like to attend to. It is important that parents can excess information easily, and we feel that putting up the information on the internet is better because parents can view it anytime, they can email us for any inquiries etc, and they can excess this on any form of media: laptop, ipad, phone.
